Wednesday Review

A quick look at some scores of note from the middle of this week, otherwise known as Wednesday...

--#10 Male d. #16 Lafayette 3-2 (9 innings)
This matchup between two of the best of Louisville and Lexington did not disappoint. Look for both teams to challenge for their respective regional titles.

--#16 Lafayette d. #13 Manual 1-0 (9 innings)
In an impressive statement, the Generals came back from their first nine-inning game to take down the Crimsons, this one as well in nine innings. It was good day for Lafayette.

--#12 Allen County-Scottsville d. Barren County 9-2
In response to being put on Upset Alert, the Patriots brought out the bats to beat down district rival Barren County. Once again, there seems to be separation between the Gators and the Patriots from the rest of the 4th region.

--Note: #2 Greenwood @ #6 Christian County was canceled...the score for #8 Ballard @ #20 Butler has not been reported yet. Keep checking the scoreboard for updates.

And now for Thursday...

#5 Ryle @ St. Henry
Heath @ #6 Christian County
Holy Cross @ #8 Ballard
#12 Allen County-Scottsville @ Franklin-Simpson
Meade County @ #13 Manual
Sacred Heart vs. #14 Dunbar (at Lafayette)
Sacred Heart @ #16 Lafayette
#19 Edmonson County @ Apollo
Eastern @ #20 Butler
Madisonville-North Hopkins @ #22 Hopkins County Central
Nelson County @ #24 Larue County

Upset Alert...

#3 Henderson County @ Lyon County
After a blowout loss to the top team in the state, the Colonels better be focused or the sleeper Lyons might spring the upset on them in Eddyville.

Game of the Day...

Estill County @ #15 South Laurel
Both teams have struggled as of late, but this is still a premier matchup in not only Eastern Kentucky, but the whole state as well.
