  • WOW! i thought Christian County was the best well rounded team around. Shows that any good team can beat any other team on any given day.

  • It was 3-1 going into the 7th. First batter for Hendo grounds out, bringing up the 9th place hitter, so things were looking real good for County. Then #9 draws a walk after a full count. Next batter hits one of the end of the bat that hits the chalk line about 10 ft behind first so now its first and 3rd one out, next batter hits one to short center girls has a bead on it plays it well, but it pops out of the glove. One runs scores and I think runners are at 2 & 3, next batter hits one that deflects off the pitcher SS fields it checks the runner at 3rd throws to first for the 2nd out, girl on third breaks for home, 1st basement throws it in the dirt and catcher can't come up with it, 3rd run scores other runner advances to third, and a basehit scores her.
That may not be completely accurate but its close I was distracted during some of the game, but it was a good game. Great comeback by Hendo

  • when it comes to regional play u have to play each game because each team knows its do or die and anyone can win if another team doesnt bring it

  • Why would Anderson save their pitcher when the next game will be the next night? Are you telling me that they have an ace and she didn't pitch on back to back nights during the season???? Its one thing to try and save somebody if you have more than one game in a day, but I've never heard of saving your ace in a regional playoff game when A) you only play one game a day and B) its single elimination.

  • I was at the Anderson County and Henry County game. Anderson's 2nd pitcher (an 8t grader) got the start and couldn't record an out against Henry County. She gave up 3 runs before Coach Glass decided to eat crow and put his ace into the game. However, Henry County hit her really well also. They scored 4 more runs off of her. I take my hat off to Henry County and their coaches, they had Anderson scouted really well and had the best suicide bunt play that I've ever seen. Anderson County will be back, and as long as Coach Glass learned something, he'll be o.k.

  • I am not sure what game you were watching, but the 2nd pitcher only gave up two hits and once again the defense was lost. This team has lost many games, either by team errors or coaching mistakes. This team went almost a month without a practice on the field, prior to the district tourny. The reaction of the girls after the loss, was a sense of relief. And that is sad. If you are not going to care about your team, then step aside.
