  • Didn't Ryle beat Christian County twice?

  • It seems like no matter who butler beats they always move down..

  • although they won't get out of their region. Woodford co. deserves a ranking. They beat Anderson twice and N. Laurel once. They have a stud freshman pitcher.

  • Ryle has beaten Christian County twice (an impressive feat right now), but to the Colonels credit, they have beaten the #1 team in the state on consecutive Saturdays. I think, at this point, they deserve the top spot. But Ryle is right there, and they are certainly more of a lock for the state tournament than Christian County is.

  • You hit the nail on the head. Understanding and knowing the game make a good coach, but being able to teach the kids and motivate the kids makes a great coach. Way to go Christian County. Others should be so fortunate.

  • Guys you can't be more right than that to be a "teacher" makes a great coach.By saying that you have to apply these methods or skills to these kids. Just becase you have played the game doesnt make a coach..........and i dont care who you played for...........

  • It helps to have played the game at least you know what you're talking about

  • I don't think that you should have to be a "teacher" paid by the state to be a head coach. There are far too many programs in this state that have made their athletics suffer by requiring a person with a teaching degree to be the head coach. The person with the most knowledge of the game should be the one coaching. I do agree with having a teacher on staff that person will have a little more insight on some of the players.

  • I think you guys give Weaver too much credit. He does do a good job, but I think he is not superman and has alot of talent to work with and if I remember in his 3 years he has lost the district championship once and has not made it out of the region
