Wednesday and Thursday

There were very few games played on Wednesday, but they were important nonetheless...

--#8 Dunbar d. Lexington Catholic 8-1
Dunbar is running on all systems go right now. After sweeping their Round Robin Tournament over the weekend, the Bulldogs emphatically defeat the Knights and perhaps establish themselves as the 11th region favorite over Lafayette and the rest of the crowd.

--#22 Scott County d. #23 Anderson County 2-1
It's been a tough two days for the Bearcats. After returning to the rankings via a win over North Laurel, Anderson County has dropped two consecutive games to Woodford County and now Scott County. Fortunately for the Bearcats, neither team will challenge them in the 8th region tournament.

--#11 Ballard d. Clarksville (IN) 3-0
The Bruins needed a win to right the ship before the Owensboro Catholic Tournament this weekend, and this was a win to right the ship. In any case, look for the Bruins to make some noise this weekend in Owensboro.

Now, our ranked games for Thursday...

Evansville Harrison (IN) @ #3 Henderson County
#4 Ryle @ Boone County
Taylor County @ #5 North Hardin
Lyon County @ #6 Christian County
Jeffersontown @ #9 Male
Atherton @ #11 Ballard
#13 Manual @ Southern
#16 Mercy @ Seneca
#17 Lafayette @ Bryan Station
#18 Edmonson County @ Warren Central
#20 Larue County @ Caverna

Upset Alert...
#7 Reidland @ #25 St. Mary
The Greyhounds were extended to extra innings by the Purple Flash of Lone Oak earlier this week. How will Reidland deal with their probable top competition in the 1st region, St. Mary?

Game of the Day...
#12 Allen County-Scottsville @ #15 Grayson County
Two teams that will face mammoth competition in their respective regional tournaments (from Greenwood and Owensboro Catholic) square off today in Leitchfield. Will the youth of Grayson County trump the experience of ACS? Should be a great game and a good test for the Patriots as they prepare for this weekend's Owensboro Catholic Tournament.

1 Comments:

  • Congratulations to ACS for their win over Grayson. In looking at the Scoreboard they are having another very good year. Was a little surprised on the total of runs scored. Anybody have any info on this game?
